About Us
Our Evolution
The company was founded in 2017 in Melbourne, Australia and emerged from the founder's work as a dietitian together with Monash University’s Medicines Manufacturing Innovation Centre (MMIC) research expertise to both verify and test the scientific methodologies.
Research and Development continued to evolve, to expand the breadth of the delivery platform across various applications. In early 2024 the Gelteq team expanded into the purpose-built Monash Innovation Labs which is a growth and development ecosystem within Monash University. Gelteq consolidated its public listing on the Nasdaq: GELS in October 2024.

Nathan Givoni is a co-founder of Gelteq and has been CEO and executive director since the Company’s inception. A qualified health professional (Dietitian), he remains active in the scientific advancements of the technology, whilst also overseeing business operations and company strategy. Prior to this, Nathan established and ran a series of medical centres across Australia, as well as working as a consultant dietitian for several groups for over 10 years.
Nathan continues his support in the healthcare space, helping establish a not-for-profit charity in Australia for metabolic health conditions. Nathan holds a Bachelor of Science, First Class Honors in Physiology, and a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics from Monash University.

Paul Wynne joined Gelteq in 2024 from his previous role as the Manager and Principal Scientist of the Medicines Manufacturing Innovation Centre at Monash University (2016-2024) including developing Gelteq’s underlying technologies since 2017. Prior to this, he was the Victorian and Tasmanian Territory Manager and ANZ Mass Spectrometry Technical Specialist for Shimadzu Australia (2010-2016), Chromatography Manager at SGE Analytical Science (2004-2010), Principal Scientist at Racing Analytical Services Limited (1989-2004), and Synthetic Organic Chemist at IDT Australia (1986-1989). Paul is a Victorian Government appointed non-executive director of Racing Analytical Services and a trusted advisor to several start-up biotechnology businesses. Paul holds a PhD in Chemistry and Toxicology, a MAppSc in Organic Chemistry, and a BAppSc in Applied Chemistry, all from RMIT. Paul is an internationally recognised expert in drug metabolism, forensic drug chemistry, and the modification and formulation of chemical materials with over 40 years professional experience. He has published extensively in the primary (82 papers) and industry literature (120 papers), is named as a coinventor on 10 patents, and is an experienced international workshop presenter and speaker.
Paul Wynne
Chief Scientific Officer
Brad Karp was appointed Global Head of Sales & Marketing at Gelteq in 2025. Prior to this, he served as Managing Director of the Australia Client Group at AllianceBernstein Australia for nearly 24 years. He holds an MSc in Financial Management from the University of London, and a BCom and BCom (Honours) from the University of the Witwatersrand. Brad was previously a Fellow Certified Practising Marketer with the Australian Marketing Institute and was a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
